You need to be able to produce hard-copies of your work (printing) and, in some cases, prepare data for use in other applications. This sounds more complex than it really is. Just as with the 'Integration' section, you will have been doing this sort of thing regularly during your school work.
With most integrated office software (e.g. Microsoft Office, or Open Office), there is no need to continuously export data so that you can import it elsewhere.

Instead you can usually copy and paste or drag and drop.
