hey Mr. Copley, first of all.. i don't know four navigation features.. all i can think of are the buttons, and i've read a topic having something to do with navigation, i really didn't get what was said there

so what are those four features? or what are we supposed to write?

and ohh, btw, when he says describe.. is he expecting us to explain or something?

Mark scheme inquiry regarding validation checks

In w05_qp1, under Q11, the question paper asks to name the most appropriate validation checks for a "Date of Birth" field and a "Total Number of IGCSEs" field. My answer to the first was format check (since it should follow the format DD/MM/YYYY), to the second was character check (since it can't include any letters, symbols, etc). However, the mark scheme says that the answer to both is "range check or description". Can someone please tell me if my answer will be accepted, and if not, why range check is appropriate for both?

I'd really appreciate a fast reply because I've got my ICT P1 tomorrow!

Reduces stress and manual work.
allows the use of smart refrigerators to eat healthy and fresh food.
T.V dinners lead to unhealthy lifestyle.
can shop online at the comfort from home.Easier for elderly and Disabled.
Can socialise more through facebook,face to face etc
Can communicate world wide and access information from the Internet.
More vunerable to phishing , spamming and phishing ,hackers.
need to spend on antivirus,antimalware,spyware etc.

If I have missed some can you please tell me especially the negative effects
and correct any irrelevant points which I may have included.

Hi, thanks for your practical guide. I was looking for a guide to do the following in Excel 2003, but have had no luck in finding it yet;

perform searches using a single criterion and using multiple
criteria, with different data types, for example: alphanumeric,
numeric, Boolean etc. and a variety of operators like: AND, OR,
NOT, LIKE, >, <, =, >=, <=
(ii) perform searches using wildcards

Do you have some guide for the above that you could post please?

What exactly is the use of a network interface card?? You said in the notes that every computer connected to a network should have a NIC but what exactly does it do??

In your notes you said "Hubs are pretty much obsolete now (you can't buy them any more), having been superseded by cheap switches". Then you said the following about switches "Because of this, networks that use switches are more secure than those that use hubs, but also a little more expensive". Im kinda confused now, which is more expensive, A switch Or A hub??

Hello sir,
I've got my ICT finals on Friday.. I am not able to solve turtle graphics questions. This is especially when we are supposed to turn.. I don't understand the direction and degrees we are supposed to turn. Let me give you an example of june 2011 qn 7.. I'm just totally confused! Please help me..

sir thanks a lot for ur help i did my best to do every thing right in the exams but i am doubtfull that i took 1 wrong print screen shot .
when they tell u to take print screen shot regarding downloading the files i took the print shot of the resource files which were already there on the desktop .My school had already saved the files there so i took the print shot of that is that correct.

hope so everything goes right.

in paper three where they tell us to highlight mistakenly i higlighted on excel printouts will they cut marks anf if they do how many marks do u think will be deducted and will i get and A*
